Itacate Mexican Food

Wow! I chose this based off reviews and the photos. Wanted a little elevated Mexican and this did not disappoint. Waiter gave recommendations and was attentive without being all in my space. This was the Desayuno de rey. The meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa. Had a modern decor vibe that still felt authentic. There's something different about their pinto beans but I was obsessed with them!

What a gem! We went here for a low-key birthday dinner. Food was fantastic and the service was the best. Absolutely the best Mexican food I've had in Colorado! The birra tacos were great. Photos: Chicken Flautas, Carne Asada Tacos and Birra Tacos. Tucked away in a strip mall, it would be easy to miss, but it is certainly worth it. Don't be fooled by the location. Once inside it is everything you could want.

The food was soo delicious and our server was very kind and friendly. My husband got the Cochi burrito and I got the Arrachera steak. The chips and salsa were so good and had a little kick. Will come back and highly recommend!

Fantastic, flavorful food. Always great service. We usually come for happy hour and tacos. We tried the bottomless brunch for mothers Day, and there was so much food. A great variety and all tasted amazing!

This place has good reviews so we thought we should try and that’s why we came this time. I ordered grilled shrimp tacos and that was delicious! I like the rice and beans too. My husband ordered drills steak fajita and that was a little disappointed because the steak wasn’t even hot and not on grill pan. It looked not hot and I think they should use grill pan for presentation. Also Guacamole was a little salty. I would love to come over for shrimp tacos!

There are places that are overlooked and sometimes passed by because they are not in the best places, this would be one of them! To begin with, do not start without trying the corn riblets as an appetizer, be sure to ask for an extra thing of sauce to put on them. You will thank me for this because they are unbelievably great! So very tasty in every way your taste buds will thank you!! Continue on with a choice of tacos, you will not go wrong here. The staff is friendly, and the food is worth stopping for! Try it and see if I’m wrong?

I LOVE this place!! My mom and I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant while running errands and we knew we had to come back. The food, the vibes, the service is all top tier. And not to put more hype on the corn ribs but they really are that good!! We had the queso fundido which was also BOMB as was the tray we got (I didn’t get pics of that cause we just started grubbin). We finished up with the Horchata bites and wowowowow what a great meal! For us going out is a big deal since we don’t do it often and to be able to patronize a local business with delicious food is really a win-win! Even though I live in Denver and she lives in Lakewood, we will for sure be back again and again and again!!

I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday at about 11:30 with a friend. We were the first people in and the server was very friendly and gave us a choice of any table we wanted. He immediately brought us some very good chips and delicious salsa along with menus. I was almost overwhelmed with the wonderful selection of food. There is truly something for everyone here; breakfast, lunch and huge entrées. I chose a burrito and my friend ordered tacos. We complimented our selections with horchata and Jamaica agua fresca. Everything was delicious! The server was great. He gave us enough space so we didn’t feel pestered yet was available as soon as we needed something. I will definitely be heading back to Itacate to try some of the other items on the menu.
